#46 - Sybil Cunningham, Professor of Literature (Character played by C. T.)
Club or Secret Society: Bloomsbury Group Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Bloomsbury Group - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: B&B - this character sleeps in the B&B, in the double room D. That room bathroom and shower will be publicly available, ie, they will be shared with whomever sleeps in the Villa. This character will pay €30 extra.
Teaser: Devington students could never suspect that, before teaching, Cunningham had tried their hand at a music career and one of their songs was even played on the radio. Unfortunately, that dream was never realised. Even more unfortunately, the faculty is all too familiar with their background, and shows little respect for Cunningham, whose academic record does not live up to the school's prestige.
They start at Devington as a substitute teacher on a temporary year-long contract during the junior year, but then surprisingly their tenure gets extended. A non-conformist, enthusiastic and engaging teacher who puts a great deal of passion into their new life mission, during the senior year they are in the precarious position of waiting for either a letter of dismissal, or permanent employment at the end of the year. Tensions with some colleagues and the headmaster do nothing to keep their worries at bay. This is aggravated by their desire to nurture free-thinking and critical minds, when it would be more prudent to take a more traditionalist approach and focus on improving the grades of their students.
Bloomsbury Group
This is the literature club, inspired by the historical group of which Virginia Woolf, among others, was a member. Its adherents are also editors of the school newspaper, the well-known 'Bloomsbury', famous for its sharp, ironic and biting remarks, always signed in the name of the editorial board, in order to protect the freedom of expression and the identity of its members. The Bloomsbury is always looking for sensational news and scandals: nothing matters more than truth and expressive liberty.Relations: You are particularly lenient towards S. Adams, but you try to keep it secret. You have had disagreements with F. Sullivan and B. Walters, who do not respect you and would want you removed from the faculty. Unfortunately, Principal T. Conway is keeping an eye on you.
E. Howton seems like an interesting person, but the hostility of your colleagues stops you from making friends.
C. Coltman often gives you good advice on how to reinforce your position and keep your job at Devington.
D. Jennings sometimes invites you for drinks after classes.
You have a special interest in C. Evans, R. Moore, and D. Baker, with whom you often chatted after class.
#47 - Diane Jennings, Professor of Art (Character played by S. Z.)
Club or Secret Society: The Unknown Dreamers Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - The Unknown Dreamers - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Jennings tends to favour those pupils who are artistically talented, and unintentionally neglects others. In addition, they have a weakness for those who appreciate their art - ill-concealing a need for validation of their talents - and they are unable to like those who express critical opinions about their work.
Obviously, they know that favouritism is seen as problematic, and they behave as professionally as possible, but they often fail to resist it, sometimes lapsing into an almost childish behaviour, or failing to maintain a proper detachment from students. In general, however, they have great talent as a teacher, due to their particular ability to influence and shape others. They wants to give their students, and everyone around them, a pleasing form. As one does with works of art.
They are constantly seeking inspiration, and finds it in the presence of others, affirmation, compliments, youth and alcohol, which they secretly tend to abuse.
The Unknown Dreamers
The art club brings together the free spirits, the bohemians, the restless souls who want to give free rein to their creative expression. The Dreamers worship art: art for provocation, art for scandal, art for its own sake. As is the custom of the club, every year, on the first and last day of class, the Dreamers secretly perform a scandalous and sensational work of art, which is then put on display in front of the entire school. Some call their work immoral, indecent or even obscene, but despite this, the teachers have always shown a certain leniency. After all, this too is a Devington tradition.Relations: You have a great talent for ''shaping'' the students you mentor. For example, you are committed to making O. Britton express their grief.
C. Coltman is a rather annoying character and often scolds you for your unprofessional attitude.
E. Howton has never hidden that he appreciates you - on the contrary. You do not dislike them either. Just like S. Cunningham, whom you sometimes meet up outside the university.
B. Walters caught you hiding a bottle in the teachers' lounge, but seems to have kept quiet.
You should get on well with C. Armitage, but you have the conviction that they really don't understand anything about artistic expression.
#48 - Belisarius Walters, Professor of Latin (Character played by F. S.)
Club or Secret Society: Metamorphosis Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Metamorphosis - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: With slight movements, like adjusting the glasses on the tip of their nose, Walters can make an entire classroom tremble in fear. According to Walters, there is no room for deadline extensions, excuses, or mistakes. If a student fails to deliver an assignment on time, or deigns to break a single rule - even the most miniscule - their punishment will be severe. Walters has a piercing gaze that judges whoever is in front of them critically, never bothering to hide behind a friendly or diplomatic facade, regardless of whether the person at hand is a student or a fellow colleague. Walters’ scrupulousness stems from their belief that they are a follower of Ovid’s teachings in the Metamorphoses. The great driving forces of Knowledge and Love, which inform human action in the Ovidian mythos, are also the forces that drive Walters. In the pursuit of Knowledge one must be principled and steadfast. Love, understood as the highest purity and clarity of the soul, is then the natural consequence of life lived in arduous self-improvement and consistent advancement of one’s Knowledge. If there is Knowledge, there is Love, and vice versa. Embracing this harmony of things, Walter is able to freely communicate their feelings and opinions without qualms, shame or sin. Rigour and discretion, Knowledge and Love with no restraints. Walters has learned how to wield the power of their philosophy. And so, knows the time and place for everything.
Metamorphosis
The Metamorphosis are a group related to the cult of Dionysus and Bacchus, to pleasures taken to the extreme, and to change. They push themselves to excess, thus seeking to touch higher peaks of knowledge and understanding, as well as pleasure. They are tied to nature, feelings, sexuality, personal growth and animality: in fact, it is said that each member is associated with a beast, and can only leave it behind when they have reached the highest evolution of themselves. On the night of their initiation, you might hear the group members howling, or meowing, or who knows?Relations: Among your colleagues, it is well known that you do not particularly appreciate S. Cunningham and C. Preston. They have not yet understood what it means to teach at Devington.
C. Evans has an ambiguous attitude towards you.
You have particularly bonded with F. Sullivan.
You once caught D. Jennings, in the teachers' lounge, hiding a bottle of gin or some other alcohol.
#49 - Francis Sullivan, Professor of Biology (Character played by D. O.)
Club or Secret Society: Pudding Club Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Pudding Club - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: B&B - this character sleeps in the B&B, in the double room D. That room bathroom and shower will be publicly available, ie, they will be shared with whomever sleeps in the Villa. This character will pay €30 extra.
Teaser: Throughout life, Sullivan has venerated old traditions, meritocracy and wealthy family lineages. In short, the culture in which they were born and molded. Never squandering an ounce of their privilege, it was obvious that Sullivan’s talent could take them anywhere they wanted to go. Following the nudges of their mentor and family, Sullivan put aside rebellions of youth, their desires to explore the world and to see its magnificent diversity. Instead, Sullivan became a teacher at Devington. The youthful curiosity stood aside as they devoted everything to the university, quickly becoming an unshakeable pillar, almost merging with the architecture of the institution itself. Sullivan invested their entire inheritance - a vast fortune by any standards - into Devington, thereby becoming one of the university’s largest contributors. After years of service, however, Sullivan is beginning to doubt whether they abandoned prematurely those passionate experiences of their youth. Perhaps this pursuit of academic greatness has resulted in a life scarcely lived? But alas, there is no turning back now, no breaking down, no admitting that they might have been mistaken. Cowardice is simply not allowed, even as the walls of Devington threaten to suffocate what remains of Sullivan’s individuality.
Pudding club
Blood matters. And it matters more than ever. Only scions of the best families can join the Pudding Club. This ancient club brings together the elite, the young scions of noble birth, and has always welcomed the descendants of Cavendish himself. The name of the club originated in the early years after the founding of the University, when the food in the dining hall was not very satisfactory, and wealthy students had their lunch delivered from the village pub. Specifically, pudding. Times have changed since then, but the custom has remained. Members of the Pudding Club still retain many privileges, including being the first to help themselves at the table with the famous dish that gives them their name.Relations: You are among the sponsors of Devington along with the parents of M. Cavendish and S. Cavendish and the father of Saint-John Talbot. Saint-John Talbot refused the invitation to the Pudding Club. This doesn't happen often.
You have an ambivalent relationship with C. Coltman. On the one hand you are aware of their terrible fate, on the other you feel a shadow of envy. The fact that they know how little time they have made Coltman never deny themself anything in life.
You particularly bonded with B. Walters.
You often clash with R. Mace, but they have recently spoken to you at great length and in an almost obsessive manner about certain matters. They have left you with several doubts and suspicions.
#50 - Caleb Preston, Professor of Psychology (Character played by L. S.)
Club or Secret Society: Orbium Caelestium Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Orbium Caelestium - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Time spent with Preston is reminiscent of being near family. Preston is protective and loving by nature, with an endearing, almost parental attitude. A psychologist by vocation, Preston teaches what they practice with the stated ambition to do good for young people. If there was anything to criticise Preston for, it would be that their kindness can sometimes border naivety. Their trust and genuine concern for the well-being of others means that they risk falling under the influence of those with less than charitable motives. Despite this, Preston is adored by students they mentor, and cares for the growth and education of these students - perhaps more so than any other member of faculty. Unfortunately, a curse seems to haunt Preston. Almost every student they mentor has ended up among the Donors. Like a gardener watching their flowers wither and die, Preston carries the burden of this knowledge with a heavy heart. This vulnerability disappears, however, when Preston teaches their subject in class. The slightly clumsy and awkward demeanour is all but replaced by the passion of a Socratic tutor, fervently inspiring wisdom in young, developing minds. Undeterred by the misfortunes of their past students, Preston maintains a steadfast belief in the magical power and influence of good deeds.
Orbium caelestium
Those who look at the stars, look the right way. Members of the Orbium Caelestium wonder about the movement of the planets, the starry skies, and are guided by the suggestions of the zodiac, astronomy and astrology. They are said to be able to see the future, or at least that is what they strive to do: to know themselves and outline what is to come, probing into the complex workings of the cosmos. The Orbium does not only believe in Magic. The Orbium is magic. It shapes the world according to complex processes, which can be read in the stars or in ancient stories, in tarot cards or in unknown runes. For the members of this secret society, there is so much more than just Reality.Relations: You have an old friendship with Finnemore. You know each other from your university days - at Devington. In your youth you were in the same secret society, and shared the same dreams and the same belief in being able to shape your own destiny.
You councelled Paul Mason, brother of H. Mason who unfortunately took his own life shortly before H. joined Devington.
You took E. Shaw under your wing.
L. Reece played a cruel prank on you, costing them three days suspension. They made you walk into the classroom where they hang up pictures of students you councelled who ended up on the Donors' list, with the words ''AT LEAST YOU TRIED!''.
You have a bad feeling about V. Roger and you tried to start a conversation but your words fell on deaf ears. You have, however, picked up worrying signs and do not want to give up.
#51 - Simon Finnemore, Professor of Astronomy (Character played by P. J.)
Club or Secret Society: Orbium Caelestium Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Orbium Caelestium - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Finnemore attempts to preserve traditions and push back against the ridicule that is modernity. The answer lies in the past, in the occult, in that which is secret. Certainly not in rock music or the study of contemporary art. The modern age is an age of intellectual decadence, and most people have lost what connected them to the magical and the divine. Finnemore fell in love with Devington with all their soul, because for centuries it remained a safe little corner of the world where students could be taught true values. Now, traces of outside life seep in. It must be stopped.
Strong-willed, fascinated by occult powers, invisible control, they consider themself the guardian of the knowledge of the ancients. Mystical and mysterious, at times frightening, certainly authoritative: they wish to mould minds and reality to restore the world to its proper form. In their youth, accompanied by some of their Devington friends, they devoted themself to the quest for power through stargazing and the study of star signs. Ever since then, Finnemore has never abandoned the childhood fantasy in which they are the incarnation of Atlas, and the stars are their daughters. They often indulge in fantasies that they would never admit aloud. They crave power and feel they need to demostrate they are worthy of wielding it.
For the members of this secret society, there is so much more than just Reality.Relations: You share an old friendship with Preston. You know each other from university - Devington - and in your youth you shared the same secret society, the same dreams and the same belief in being able to shape your own destiny.
You are in open conflict with D. Jennings: they are taking the art course in the wrong direction and they must be stopped.
On the contrary, you agree with K. Holland: there is something mystical in their way of thinking about music.
L. Gibbs has incredible potential. If they tried to learn how to channel their energy into real magic, they could achieve whatever they wanted.
C. Marshall often pesters you with nagging questions at the end of class.
#52 - Clive Coltman, Professor of Law (Character played by O. B.)
Club or Secret Society: Order of the Crescent Moon Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Order of the Crescent Moon - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: As a student, their behaviour was not always impeccable, and they ended up being a Donor. However, since then, they have completely dedicated their life to their studies and to the university, managing to get an extension, then another, then another. In fact, thanks to their academic merits, they have not yet started the programme. This makes Coltman among the strictest of teachers: by nature, but above all by vocation, they demand a great deal from their students, and care enornously about their success and adherence to the rules. Coltman is the living proof that commitment will be rewarded, and laxity punished.
They strongly believe that those who are dedicated enough to their studies, or to a cause, can achieve anything. But they also know that a terrible death sentence hangs over their head, and that they are only delaying it. And that perhaps, at that point, there will be no merit great enough to make up for the mistakes of the past. Publicly they praise their good fortune, but internally they cannot help but tremble.
Order of the Crescent Moon
The Order of the Crescent Moon gathers young people with a strong sense of morality, the modern knights, the strictest ones, those who see to it that the rules are respected and enforced. One cannot be just if one does not also try to make others just. Inspired by the ancient knights, they are characterised by militaristic and camaraderie rituals: whoever harms one, harms them all. Whoever does not intervene to uphold the law, is admonished. Whoever disturbs the order, is punished. In their meetings, they whisper of swords and ancient legends of mysterious Britannia.Relations: D. Jennings just doesn't know how to behave. You oppose them publicly, but in reality you somewhat admire their way of letting go.
You really like R. Mace: they seem to have firm values and convictions.
F. Sullivan behaves ambivalently with you. They praise you and seem to admire you, but at the same time they sometimes seem to be envious of your condition. This is ridiculous and almost insulting. But it is impossible to admit this out loud, because it would be like admitting that you are not happy with your noble and honourable fate.
You want to prevent I. Crooks from destroying themself, at any cost. You must change their attitude before it is too late. Like Crooks, you also care about the fate of other students on a bad path.
You give S. Cunningham some good advice to cement their reputation as a teacher at Devington.
#53 - Emily Howton, Professor of Rhetoric (Character played by M. T.)
Club or Secret Society: Les lumières Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Les lumières - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Young, bright, tenacious. With serious doubts tugging at their conscience.
They care more about their students than the school rules, which they often find stupid and ridiculous, perhaps because they did not study at Devington, but at a Public University, which they attended on a scholarship. Of course, at the university where they studied there were no such strange - and very often divisive - traditions. There should be no such differences among students: teachers should be impartial, not coddling those with the most prestigious or richest families.
Despite everything, they keep working at Devington. They tell themself that it is because they wants to change things from the inside, but inside they know that no other university in England would match the prestige and pay of this job. This ambivalence is like dripping water that, day after day, hollows the principles in their heart. It is a raw and painful nerve.
The character has been married for three years to someone they love very much and with whom they have recently started trying for a child. The decision they have made is very scary. As much as they think that the division between Donors and Gifted is just, they do not know if they could bear to see their child sacrificed for the nation. When they think about these doubts, these questions they cannot answer, they feel caged in falsehood, without the strength to get out of it.
Les lumières
They are a secret society inspired by the myth of the cave, Plato, the Enlightenment, the Socratic method. Centred on the cult of reason, on investigation, on science, they subject themselves to tests and interrogations to get to knowledge, and to know themselves. They move in the darkness to come to see the light, and support themselves as a family in the process. They never lie. Lies and deception are not contemplated, to arrive at the Truth. They oppose all forms of mystification and, if they can, expose lies and deceptions.Relations: You are in open conflict with Sullivan, whom you see as the embodiment of the world of ridiculous accumulated privilege, a world which needs to be overthrown. You are never disrespectful, but you lose no opportunity to emphasise your point of view.
You respect R. Mace for their ideas of equality and justice.
You urge P. Campbell to overcome their cynicism and find some hope.
You appreciate the personal and modern relationship D. Jennings has with students.
#54 - Richard Mace, Professor of Ethics (Character played by M. R.)
Club or Secret Society: Order of the Crescent Moon Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Order of the Crescent Moon - Gender: any - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Lightning-fast academic career: Mace graduated with the best results in their year, to the point where everyone said it was their destiny to become dean of Devington after Conway. They attended another prestigious university, and joined their first secret society as an adult, which is when - very shortly after graduation - they started teaching at Devington. They have a home, a family and a young son.
This character is a champion of justice who now finds it hard to believe in the values they have always stood for. Despite the fact that they act as a defender of the weak, a bulwark of honesty and a pillar of justice, they recite the Ethics lectures like a tired old platitude, which they no longer know whether to believe in. In the grip of disillusionment and almost at odds with the laws and structures they preach, they are unable to free themself from the binding shackles of education, work and family. Moreover, they bear the burden of expectations: everyone knows that they are the unblemished knight, and so they must be. Even if they no longer believe in the round table.
Recently, however, their doubts threatened to ruin everything. They are, in effect, the protagonist of an improper love affair.
In their meetings, they whisper of swords and ancient legends of mysterious Britannia.Relations: C. Coltman seems to appreciate your values. You also feel esteem for them: it takes courage to lead that kind of life, knowing that the end is coming. They could be someone to confide in.
You can't help but behave bizarrely in the presence of Saint-John Talbot.
You have a very close bond with E. Howton, because of the values you share. But you are certain that if they saw you for what you really are, they would abandon you, and perhaps even ruin you.
You often compare yourself with F. Sullivan, and once you even talked at length about private matters. You worry you might have overshared.
#55 - Celia Armitage, Professor of Drama (Organizer NPC) (Character played by F. C.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Gender: woman - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Very famous for her successes in Hollywood as a child actress, Armitage was a film star until the age of twelve. After that, she moved from one acting school to another and devoted herself to theatre in its most classical form, until she came to Devington as a teacher. Traditionalist and rule-abiding, she often appears rather focused on technique and formal precision, and disinclined to encourage the unbridled talent and flair of her students. She has the academic approach of the old actresses, while belonging to a much more modern era, and seems to have constructed an impeccable persona around herself -- perhaps hiding a flawed person. It is hard to say what lies beyond the surface.
She incentivises and rewards the most serious and diligent students, while relegating the lazy and uncommitted to secondary roles.
Relations: You should be enjoying the company of D. Jennings, but they understands little about artistic expression. Not everything should be created in a random burst of inspiration.
You get along well with K. Holland and R. Dixon: although no one admits it, those who teach extracurricular classes are a step lower in the teachers' pecking order. That is why you have to team up.
#56 - Kirsten Holland, Professor of Music (Organizer NPC) (Character played by C. C.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Gender: woman - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: From a very humble family, she was brought up between oratories and pastorals, and managed to enter the world of the Gifted solely through her sweetness, good character and talent. For a long time, before arriving at Devington, she conducted distinguished choirs in all parts of Great Britain - especially religious, Gregorian and medieval choirs - with moderate success. Until, at a concert, she was noticed by Dean Conway, then a simple teacher, who used his influence in the university to get her hired. It was a revelatory moment.
Her background and history led Holland to believe that music had a saving power. There is nothing that gets to the core of feelings like a note, a harmony. If outside her lessons she comes across as gentle, meek and a little insecure, she changes radically when it is time to conduct the choir. She takes great care of her students - especially those who have difficulty expressing themselves - and what better medium than music? Besides, as she always repeats: you can't go wrong if you put your heart into it.
Relations: S. Finnemore seems to believe there is something mystical about the way you think about music.
You get along well with C. Armitage and R. Dixon: although no one admits it, those who teach extracurricular classes are a step lower in the teachers' pecking order. That is why you have to team up.
#57 - Roger Dixon, Gym teacher (Organizer NPC) (Character played by F. P.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: Professors - Gender: man - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: In his youth, Dixon was a major Olympic champion for Great Britain. He had to interrupt his career because of an unfortunate accident, which happened at Devington. While guest lecturing at the university, he fell down the stairs, injuring his knee. The situation was so tragicomic, it almost sounded grotesque. The University subsequently offered Dixon a teaching position as compensation.
Students often mock this borderline ridiculous misfortune, but obviously never in an overt manner. What is clear is that few understand the pain of such a failure, and the only thing people see is the professor's harsh, stern and temperamental nature. He has a very strong competitive spirit, and truly believes he can train some of his students to become athletes.
Relations: S. Wingrove and P. Wingrove should try to achieve, considering the family they come from. Especially with P. Wingrove you don't hold back and always remind them of who their father, Commander Wingrove, is.
You get along well with K. Holland and C. Armitage: although no one admits it, those who teach extracurricular courses are a step lower in the teachers' pecking order. That is why you have to team up.
V. Roger cares a lot about your approval and their athletic performance. You have a bit of a soft spot for their dedication.
#58 - Timothy Conway, Headmaster (Organizer NPC) (Character played by F. R.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: University staff - Gender: man - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Conway is Devington. For decades now he has represented the institution to the best of his ability. Tough, fair, energetic, fatherly. It is not easy to think of the University without him, without his speeches and guidance. There is no figure more inspirational than Conway. He is the mentor par excellence: embodying traditions without allowing himself to be bridled, and wisely opening himself up to modernity. Fair, moderate, inflexible but paternal, open to listening but respectful of the rules. Even the unwritten ones.
For many years he taught Biology and led the Pudding Club, before becoming headmaster. Lately, however, he has been rumoured to have been offered a government post, which would be difficult to give up, and is therefore considering appointing a successor.
Relations: You strongly wanted K. Holland to join Devington. It was only right.
Everyone says that R. Mace will take over as headmaster after you.
S. Warrick is your right-hand man.
#59 - Fred Fisher, Nurse (Organizer NPC) (Character played by A. G.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: University staff - Gender: man - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: He has seen many of them. Too many. Good, brilliant students who became Donors. He doesn't criticise, of course. But he is tired. Now he just watches the new freshmen, the new kids, without getting attached, just waiting for their graduation to come, to say goodbye and never see them again.
Fisher is a nurse at Devington, handling routine examinations and caring for the future Gifted... or Donors. The body, as Fisher well knows, is sacred. He does his job well, but he is tired and purposefully detached. He is now used to it, and hardly anything touches him deep down.
Relations: They accuse you of failing to rescue Paul Mason, brother of H. Mason when he killed himself, stealing syringes from the infirmary.
You always work closely with T. Gloves.
S. Wingrove often pesters you with questions, because of their hypochondria.
#60 - Samuel Warrick, Administrative Secretary (Organizer NPC) (Character played by L. G.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: University staff - Gender: man - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Warrick is used to handling everything perfectly. Never a delay, never a hesitation. He is always where he needs to be, and he runs the machine flawlessly. Of course it is true that Devington is what it is thanks to the intellect and the spirit of students and professors, but people tend to underestimate his work: who is it that sends the rejection letters? Who is it that organises schedules, meals, lectures, seminars? And who is it, in the end, who has to expel eager young people or dismiss good professors? Warrick scoops up the ashes and keeps silent. He has too much respect for the Devington institution to complain.
The heart matters, but the head - according to Warrick - even more.
Relations: You are Conway's right-hand man, and you pay him the utmost respect. The same goes for all the other teachers in the school.
Some time ago M. Wilder tried to complain to you about the non-admission of one of their high school friends, who had applied for a scholarship. They told you that they had dreamed of going to Devington together, but she had not been accepted. There really wasn't anything you could do except explain to Wilder that her application was highly unsuitable.
#61 - Terrance Gloves, The medical doctor (Organizer NPC) (Character played by M. R.)
Club or Secret Society: Faction Professors and university staff - Faculty: University staff - Gender: man - Player's Age: any - Advices: VILLA - this character sleeps in the Villa, with camping bed and sleeping bag
Teaser: Gloves is a young doctor fresh out of medical school and therefore full of aspirations and energy. Since graduating, they have been in charge of Devington's infirmary. They are genuinely convinced that their work is important and that the patients love them. How could it be otherwise? They have talent, zeal, charm. Sometimes this confidence causes them to lapse into a creepy attitude of over-treating patients and making them too dependent on Gloves, and they struggle to realise that what they are doing is wrong. For this reason Gloves can sometimes be irritating: but they have the best of intentions, and it is not their fault if sometimes their love for their work is mistaken for creepy obsession.
Relations: Some people accuse you of failing to help Paul Mason, brother of H. Mason when he killed himself by stealing syringes from the infirmary.
You always work closely with F. Fisher.
S. Wingrove often pesters you with questions because of their hypochondria.
